Our Skokie Campus

A Warm and Stimulating Learning Environment for Pre-K – 2nd Grade
Our Skokie campus features bright, spacious classrooms and includes a well-equipped, full-size gymnasium; inviting playgrounds and open grassy playing field; a student-centered library/learning center; an inviting setting for prayer, learning, and spiritual growth; music and art rooms; and communal spaces for celebrating life-cycle events.

Nutrition, Health, and Wellness
At Schechter, we are proud of our commitment to health and wellness.  The school's parent-run kosher hot lunch program was an award winner of The Healthy Schools Program of the Alliance for a Healthy Generation. The Skokie campus encourages a nut-free and allergy-aware environment and has a nurse on-site daily for the well-being of our students.

Our Diverse and Caring Community
Our Skokie Campus welcomes families from 13 different Chicago and Northshore suburbs who are affiliated with more than 30 different Jewish congregations and represent a wide spectrum of Jewish observance.  Our parents are partners in their children’s education, and contribute their time, talents, energy, and creativity in an out of the classroom. Pre-K
Word is quickly spreading about our Marvell D. and Stanley J. Ginsburg Pre-K Program, which opened in 2010. The multi-age program for 3- and 4-year-olds provides a dynamic and vibrant learning environment for our youngest Schechter students.  In 2012, Schechter will open an Early Childhood Center in the Skokie area featuring our:

  • Outstanding kindergarten program
  • Dynamic 3- and 4-year-old Marvell D. and Stanley J. Ginsburg Pre-K Program
  • Nurturing and stimulating 2-year-old classroom
  • Drop-In Parent Education and Resource Center

When I Think Of Schechter
When I think of Schechter, I think of my home, a place I feel comfortable and secure, a place where I feel accepted and understood, a place where I feel educated, and I place where I feel loved. Nothing can compare to the feeling that Schechter provides.
